“Most organizations don’t give teams the two things they need to innovate: Skills in creative problem solving and time to apply them.”

Like so many corporate leaders, Anne Price wanted more innovation, but wasn’t sure how to get it. As Director of Global Marketing Capabilities at UPS, Price wanted a way to help UPS marketers live up to their new corporate strategy: “Innovation driven.”

FourSight consultant Robyn Wetzel knew FourSight could help. “Today, teams across organizations are being asked to innovate,” she said. “The trouble is, most organizations don’t give teams the two things they need to innovate: Skills in creative problem solving and time to apply them.”

Bringing FourSight to UPS training
  • UPS embedded the FourSight assessment, tools, and training into a course on creative problem solving and innovation delivered to global marketing and sales leaders.
  • Teams used the FourSight Framework to tackle critical business challenges as identified by marketing leadership.
  • The course was run over 25 times over the course of two years with more than 800 employees.
Teams start thinking bigger
  • “It’s exciting to watch what happens when people are given a framework and tools to do creative problem solving. One group told us they got more ideas in six hours using the FourSight Framework than they got in the past six months.”
  • “Our company has always leaned toward incremental improvements over radical ones. FourSight is helping people get out of their comfort zone and think bigger.”
FourSight training delivered actionable solutions to top business challenges
  • Teams left the training with actionable solutions to address top business challenges related to marketing strategy, operations, and sustainability practices.
  • Participants rated the course  #1 “most valuable” training in the UPS curriculum.
